Fascias and soffits work together to protect the rafters and other timbers from weather, moisture and humidity. They are fitted around the base of the roof where the edge of the deck exposes the internal roofing.
Soffits extend from the bottom of the fascia and allow air flow which regulates the roof temperatures. If these elements are missing or damaged, it is important to repair, replace or install them to maintain the integrity of the timbers inside.
